About the event
This exciting class with science educator John MacLaren is perfect for youngsters who are interested in anatomy. Today, students will work with real instruments including a stethoscope, a blood pressure monitor, a reflex hammer and more. Mr. MacLaren will dissect an eyeball and discuss organs and body systems. Students will build a life-size skeleton puzzle, color a canvas “digestive system” apron, and receive a “brain cap” with illustrations of the various centers of the brain. Participants will also have a unique opportunity to hold a sheep’s heart, brain, and kidneys. A dynamic, hands-on way to learn about the amazing human body!
