Extreme Space and Rockets

About the event
Join veteran science educator John MacLaren for an exciting adventure in space! Hear about the Father of Rocketry, Dr. Robert Goddard; study aerodynamics, the principles of flight, and conduct a variety of experiments. Use Alka Seltzer and canisters to create a chemical reaction and resulting “explosion.” Race balloon rockets across the classroom, and launch a variety of water rockets to see how far they fly. Play Space Jingo for prizes, and taste space ice cream at snack time. Take home a goody bag and an inflatable Space Shuttle.
