About the event
A great class for a spring afternoon – a science adventure focusing on creepy, crawly and slithery creatures. Prof. MacLaren will set up a fascinating lab where participants will dissect a grasshopper and study a variety of bugs and their anatomy. Make a cricket cage and take home a pet cricket. Examine snake bones and skin, and learn about “movie star” snakes and spiders like Spiderman. Make a giant web and a mask with antennae. After we study the life cycle of the butterfly, we will construct a wheel with a real pupa. Play Bug Bingo for prizes, and take home a bag of goodies.
